Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body Friday, March 24, at 11:00 am This workshop covers four areas of lifestyle habits that are associated with healthy aging: cognitive activity, exercise, diet and nutrition, and social engagement. A discussion will follow on what we can do to improve or maintain our overall health. Presented by Alzheimer's Association, Hudson Valley Chapter. Registration required. She Did It Her Way Thursday, March 30, at 2:30 pm Join us for this musical performance by Ken Leland that celebrates the lives, romances, careers, and hit songs of vocalists and recording artists Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee, Dinah Shore, Judy Garland, Marlene Dietrich, and more. In addition to the one-time programs above, the regular Adult Book Discussion Group for March will discuss To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf. The group will meet on Tuesday, March 21, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
The Bronxville Adult School is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1957 and chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. As you may know, the district has scheduled a special vote for Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at which time school district voters will decide whether the district will purchase the property at 110 Ridge Street, Eastchester, NY. Please find below details regarding upcoming information sessions which are open to the public: Tuckahoe Community Center March 2, 2017 6:30pm William E. Cottle School Auditorium March 8, 2017 7:00pm There will also be a Board of Education workshop on Monday, March 6 at 7:30pm in the TMS/THS Library at which, following a presentation by the administrators on 2015-16 student performance data, there will be continued discussion on the proposed capital project and an opportunity for questions to the Board about the special vote.
