Note, you do not have to give a book to get a book. The 5K is back! Please be advised that the Eastchester 5K will take place on Sunday, September 26th starting at 9:00am from Eastchester Town Hall. The attached map has the race route. Please plan your day accordingly and if you are on the route and surrounding areas, please note you may not be able to access these roads/streets between 8:45am and 10:30am on Sunday, September 26th.

The NEVER FORGET 9/11 Mobile Museum will be in Eastchester at Lake Isle on September 29th and 30th. The event is being sponsored by the Eastchester Rotary Club and the Foley Family Foundation. Visitors will be welcome from 9-4 each day and Firemen from FDNY will be on hand to answer questions and take people through. The Museum is 1000 square feet of replicas from that tragic day and has traveled across the country to make sure communities Never Forget.
Federal Emergency Management Assistance (FEMA) for Hurricane Ida Damage.
Town of Eastchester residents who suffered property damage from the remnants of Hurricane Ida may be eligible for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This financial assistance will be offered to residents through the “individual assistance” programs. Residents can file an application online at the website listed below. FEMA will be setting up Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) where people can file claims for assistance in communities which are particularly damaged. Those eligible for assistance are impacted residents with eligible disaster related losses. • Damage must have occurred during the incident period of the declaration and be a direct result of the incident. • Eligible losses include non-insured damage/loss to primary residence, damage/loss to eligible personal property. Please make sure you are document all damage in writing and take pictures and gather receipts and other documentation if available. Please note that they are experiencing very long wait times due to call volume. Small businesses recovering from Ida damage may also qualify for disaster loan assistance from the Small Business Administration.
