Gyms will have to remain at no more than 33 percent capacity, Cuomo said. Masks and health screenings will be required, and special air conditioning filters will have to be installed capable of filtering out the coronavirus.
Local health departments must inspect gyms before they open, or at least within two weeks of opening. Local officials will determine whether gyms will be allowed to hold indoor classes.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday said bowling alleys will open with some "changes and adjustment." Bowling alleys can reopen Monday at no more than 50 percent capacity. Bowlers and staff will have to wear face-coverings, and every other lane will be closed. Additionally, parties will have to stay with their party at their lane, and any food or alcohol served must be ordered and delivered to each lane.

Dear Residents,
Per the Con Edison Municipal Division and conference call today, 95% of the Town has been “cut and cleared”, meaning the roads are all open (except for a portion of Woodruff Ave and Vernon Drive). Be advised that the majority of cutting and clearing was performed by the Town of Eastchester Highway personnel.
Con Edison has advised us that there are no restoration crews in our Town but they are coming in “soon”. Some areas of the Town are getting restored remotely by Con Edison and some sections have been restored by the reactivation of transformer boxes. Other sections of the Town (Interlaken) have temporarily lost power this morning so that Con Edison can reset larger areas without risk to personnel.
We are also demanding action by Con Edison. We have a Community Liaison in our office but he is unable to marshal restoration crews. Multiple “slips” have been submitted and are being processed. Mutual Aid crews have been ordered from other jurisdictions and should be arriving shortly. Con Edison is texting messages now about restoration as late as Tuesday. This is totally unacceptable and the level of unpreparedness by Con Edison is staggering considering they have been down this path numerous times.
If you have a complaint or concern, you can reach Con Edison by phone: 1-800-75-CONED or by texting REG to 688243 and follow the prompts (you will need your account number and to confirm your zip code). Please sign up for the Town of Eastchester’s Swift 911 Emergency Alerts system and remind your neighbors to do the same. You can sign up by following this link: https://www.eastchester.org/swiftreach_911/index.php
As a reminder, please do not call the Police department to inquire or report a power outage.
Remember to call 911 only in the event of an emergency.
Thank you for your continued patience.

Dear Residents,
There are still several sections of town without power. There are four roads that still need trees to be cleared. The Town of Eastchester Highway Department has been working around the clock to clear as much debris as possible.
Con Edison has not been responsive with regard to the timing of service restoration except to indicate that all service should be restored by Sunday evening. We have demanded that restoration crews be deployed throughout the town immediately. Several sections of the town have had power restored through the reactivation of transformer boxes. Substantial restoration has yet to occur.
We are working diligently with Con Edison to expedite and prioritize the restoration process as quickly and safely as possible but regrettably Con Edison has not been responsive to the Town’s situation at hand.
I have just completed another municipal conference call with Con Edison and each and every Mayor and Supervisor is grossly frustrated and disappointed at the lack of preparedness by Con Edison. We are doing the best we can to get service restored as fast as possible. Please know that Con Edison is the only entity that can restore the power.
If you have a complaint or concern, you can reach Con Edison by phone: 1-800-75-CONED or by texting REG to 688243 and follow the prompts (you will need your account number and to confirm your zip code).
As a reminder, please do not call the Police department to inquire or report a power outage.
Remember to call 911 only in the event of an emergency.
Thank you for your continued patience.

We understand a major concern are residents that use medical equipment. We encourage residents who use medical equipment to register with Con Edison in case of power outages, including those residents who do not receive a bill directly from Con Edison.
For more information or to fill out a Life-Support Equipment survey, residents can use the attached document or visit this link. https://www.coned.com/en/accounts-billing/payment-plans-assistance/special-services
For our Elderly, Blind and Disabled residents we encourage you to contact and register with Con Edison’s Senior Direct representatives at 800-404-9097, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5PM.
Thank You
Please note due to limited availability of dry ice in the region, wet ice is being distributed. Con Edison personnel will be at two locations in Westchester County today providing ice to customers who lost service due to Storm Isaias. The company will also have a mobile information center at each location with workers available to answer questions until 7 p.m. The ice is already available at two Westchester locations: • The Cortlandt Town Center, 3121 East Main St., Mohegan Lake, in the Best Buy parking lot. • The Cross County Shopping Center at 8000 Mall Walk in Yonkers. The company is following safety guidelines issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, State, City and County for COVID-19 and asks that customers practice social distancing with other members of the public and the Con Edison employees at the location. That will help ensure that everyone remains safe during the health crisis. For additional information or questions, customers can call us at 1-800-752-6633 or visit our website at www.coned.com.
The Town is experiencing widespread power outages and fallen trees in many areas. We appreciate everyone’s patience as our crews address the developing situation with Con Edison. We have a Con Ed Municipal Liaison working with our Police Department and Highway personnel. They will be assessing and prioritizing restoration work.
Con Edison is monitoring power outages in our area. As a reminder, please do not call the Police department to inquire or report a power outage. Residents can report a service interruption or power outage online by texting REG to 688243 and follow the prompts (you will need your account number and to confirm your zip code). You can also reach Con Edison by phone: 1-800-75-CONED.
Remember to call 911 only in the event of an emergency.
