Some neighbors have recently complained about speeding on Lockwood Ave.
Over the years, neighbors have complained about people driving too fast on the longer streets (Archer, Central, Parkview & Lockwood) in our neighborhood. This is an ongoing problem and safety concern. The risk/reward is not worth it: getting home a minute earlier while risking a life is not worth it. Please slow down.

THANK YOU for adding this very important reminder to the CHCA post. Speeding has been a problem since I moved here 40 yrs. ago. But I have NEVER seen it this bad. And, how drivers don’t even stop at the Stop Signs! 🤦🏻♀️

This is a very timely and necessary post. There are many young children riding bikes and scooters in our neighborhood and they don’t always pay attention to traffic. I see my neighbors speeding along as if there were no speed limits. Stop signs are, for the most part ignored. I believe the best course of action is to report speeders to EPD. They would contact the individual and ask them to slow down. Other issues are those that park next to fire hydrants and those that park at the end of driveways blocking the sidewalk.

Thank you CHCA for posting this. Unfortunately, speeding on our small neighborhood streets has become the norm. I have had Drivers literally pass me when I drive the limit or below the limit. I’ve also had a couple go around me at stop signs when I make a full stop. Hyper aggressive for such a tight knit community.
